We had a slow on the go morning as we watched MANY campers pull out. Perry spent a good bit of the day clearing their firepits & blowing off the campsites. I did a deep clean of the bath house in the afternoon & now everything is back to normal.

As most non-holiday weekends go, there was a mass exodus of campers heading out. We decided a leisurely breakfast was appropriate, staying out of the way while most people got packed up. I went home for a while to check on the cats & to shower. Perry stayed in camp & cleaned the VERY full firepits as campers pulled out.

I have decided I like Jimmy Dean sausage patties better than Bob Evans. They are slightly smaller & a little leaner & just taste better. So, that’s what I’ll get from now own. Learn as you go. Eggs from Tracie Pollard’s chickens were delish & much appreciated. Her friendship is even more special. And I’m still using the bacon I cooked at home before our great adventure began. Only using 2 slices a day makes it last (frozen) for many days.

We may have stepped aboard the “Crazy Train” by becoming volunteers at Ft Yargo State Park … but I’m actually thinking we have just begun a fantastic adventure!
